Single Women With Children Inc.

Dedicated to Helping Families Become Complete

Single Women With Children Inc. (SWWC) is a non-profit outreach organization that empowers economically and socially disadvantaged single mothers, fathers and their children. Collaborating with community agencies, SWWC aspires to help single mothers and fathers gain the education and social skills necessary to enhance the quality of their daily lives and empower them by improving their economic opportunities through financial/budgeting and enrichment workshops, facilitated support groups, and fitness programs.  SWWC also assists children of single mothers and fathers to develop their mind, body, and spirit through our entrepreneurship classes, AAU Traveling Basketball Program, and a talent show.

Single Women With Children Inc. was formed in 1989 by Patricia Mial-Mosley in response to her status as a newly single parent through divorce. Patricia realized that the services and support she needed were either not offered or known during those critical first years.

Our organization focuses on the following issues: health, education, socialization, self-esteem and spirituality. This is done through programs and workshops for both parents and their children. We also refer families to other agencies/organizations as it fits to their needs.

Patricia Mial-Mosley is the Founder and Director of this Raleigh, North Carolina based non-profit. Her main focus is helping build relationships and empowering others to help themselves and each other. Today, she is the Pastor of Building Wealth Ministries, an outreach ministry. Her educational background includes a Bachelors Degree in Zoology, specializing in Medical Technology, from North Carolina State University, a Masters Degree in Christian Counseling/Emphasis on Pastoral Leadership from Grand Canyon University, and is certified as an Entrepreneurial Teacher for Fundamentals Programs from The National Foundation for Teaching Entrepreneurship (NFTE).

She is married with six children, including two school-aged sons.

“We all have healing areas within ourselves. I have gone through tough times, but with resources and networking, I tapped into my healing area and was empowered!” says Patricia Mial-Mosley, Founder & Director.
